The best way to clean a bracelet is to wash it by hand in lukewarm water. Be careful with bracelets with prints as the print may fade. You can also wash it in the washing machine with a short programme and a temperature of max. 40 degrees Celsius without spin cycle.
There is actually no difference. You can use bass straps for guitars and vice versa. But as a rule of thumb, the heavier your instrument, the wider your strap should be. Generally, we offer 6cm and 8cm wide straps for bass instruments, while we use 4cm wide straps for guitars. Ultimately, it's your decision, both will work.
Yes, we wash every fire hose loop twice with biodegradable detergent. If you see stains, they are from real-life use in the fire service.
In the unlikely event that a strap breaks or becomes unusable, please contact us and we will find a solution.
Yes, all our products are vegan and "not of animal origin". All ribbons are made of plastic and we ensure that no animal products are involved in the production process.
About Flame2Fame
Flame2Fame is a socially engaged company whose basic philosophy is to source recyclable materials, make them into accessories and equipment for musical instruments used by physically disabled people, and market these products to the general public.
The idea behind Flame2Fame is to offer equipment and accessories for musicians based on upcycled materials, made in workshops for people with special needs and to support social and local organisations with the profits.
Our cost structure is simple:
supply: We have a low cost of about 5% for our supply, as we pay our fire partners a fee for each metre of fire hose, even though we could get them for free. We have also included shipping costs to our production centre, based on the energy consumption of our e-car. In addition, we buy materials such as sewing needles, thread, labels, etc.
Production: from collecting, cutting, washing, sewing to packaging, about 35% of our costs are production costs. We produce exclusively in workshops for people with special needs, so we pay higher costs than producing in other countries, but we know that the money goes to a good cause.
Administration: About 20 % of our costs are internal costs, such as rent, licences, insurance, communication and so on. That leaves an average margin of about 40%, of which we pass on up to 50% to our distribution partners through commissions or wholesale discounts. In the end, we keep 20%, which we divide among our donation partners.
We have agreed to focus on a few organisations that receive our donations. These are the "Foundation against Racism", Viva con Agua, Doctors without Borders and Amnesty International.
However, we also carry out ad hoc special projects. For these, we have a fixed donation amount, which is calculated as the "cost of sale".
